Girls Lacrosse Has A Strong Start To The Season

01 May

Applewild's Girls Lacrosse team saw their first action of the season. Although the game was stopped about 3/4 of the way through due to rain, the girls were pleased to play to a 5-5 tie. This year, our Girls Lacrosse (LAX) team has 27 players. Coach Riposa said, “The players range in their levels of experience, but we are consistently learning from each other! Our 8th graders are doing a fantastic job as role models using the leadership skills they've developed at Applewild. While the returning students have set the tone for the team as a whole, the younger and newer players show lots of promise and dedication to learning the sport. In particular, this year's 6th-grade class is very athletic and we look forward to their growth throughout the season.” She then continued, "With the way the preseason has turned out, I believe we will have a very successful spring season."
