2nd Grade Science Meets Nate the Great
2nd grade Science Explores Pancakes!
Nate the Great loves pancakes. In fact, he loves them so much, when he's working on a case and needs to think things through, he'll likely do so in front of a stack of pancakes. At Applewild, Nate the Great and second grade science intersect. Students use the series of popular books to reinforce reading skills and recently learned about the science of Nate's beloved pancakes. Measuring ingredients, asking (and answering) what happens if we use too much salt, baking powder, or not enough flour, provides an opportunities for students in a hands-on experience with basic science.
And the results were delicious!
