POSITION DESCRIPTION – FACULTY
TITLE: Upper Elementary Homeroom Teacher in the Lower School
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP(S): The faculty member will work under the general administrative supervision of the Head of Lower School, and will cooperate and collaborate with the Lower School (grades K - 5 and Special Subjects) team of teaching professionals.
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
The faculty member will be responsible for a classroom of upper elementary students and will develop, plan, and teach language arts, mathematics, social studies, health, study skills, and any other relevant curricular areas deemed to be important. The faculty member will coordinate and administer effective and timely assessments of students’ learning and prepare reports to students and parents clearly explaining the results of the assessments.

SENIOR CAMP COUNSELOR/ARCHERY INSTRUCTOR
Reporting Relations: Senior Camp Counselors report directly to the Director of Summer Programs or the Assistant Director.
Job Summary:
The Senior Camp Counselor’s responsibilities include:
Ø Demonstrating spirit and enthusiasm for working in the camp setting
Ø Creating new activities and preparing Planning Objectives Offering Preparation (POOP) sheets and materials.
Ø Implementing lessons during activity time, participate in camp corral meetings, lead songs, announcements, and activities.
Ø Managing children during drop off, recess, lunch, and pick up.
Ø Interacting with and engaging campers in activities, songs, camp corral.
Ø Maintaining appropriate standards of behavior among other staff and students and ensure that the mission of Applewild School is maintained.
Ø Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Summer Programs.
Ø Maintaining and providing certifications if required for assigned activities.
Ø Attending required orientation and staff meetings.
Ø Completing staff evaluation forms.
A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Must hold current certification in archery instruction or be willing to be certified.
