Our goal is to provide an enriched program to help enhance your child’s development. We design and use theme-based curriculum to build on and strengthen your child’s natural interests, capacity for initiative, and problem solving skills. Our mornings tend to be more age specific in terms of differentiated curriculum.
Beginners/ Pre-K Daily Activities
Morning Meeting Time
Each group will be introduced to the theme of the week, weather, job chart, stories, songs, open-ended questions, counting the days school, and Letter/ Color/Shape of the week.
Beginner and Pre-K students will have an opportunity to work alongside each other in Dramatic play, Sensory table, Book/Listening center, Art center, Block center, Doll House/Lego center, Cooking/Science center, Math center and Writing center.
Outdoor play/Gross-Motor Time
It is our goal to go outside each day, weather-permitting. Please provide appropriate clothing and outerwear each day. With inclement weather we may use the Gym as a gross motor time or go on a walk.
Beginners Small Group Time (ages 2.9 - 4.3)
Small group is an opportunity for your child to participate as part of a whole group. We use this time to build upon daily experiences and their interests and develop important learning skills within the theme related curriculum.
Pre-Kindergarten "Activity Tubs” Centers (ages 3.9 - 5.3)
Teacher-directed, individual, or partner activities that focus in the following areas:
· Language and Literacy Tubs – letter of the week, books, writing practice
· Math Tubs–Manipulative center, Math center, real items, hands-on group activities, and games (sorting, counting, and classifying using activities from Math-Their-Way).
· Science/ Cooking Experiments
Beyond Morning Program
We end the morning program about 11:30 to prepare for afternoon combined activities. Activities will include lunch, nap/rest, learning center time, and outdoor time.
