Applewild School Financial Aid is available to all students and applicants at Applewild based on demonstrated financial need. At Applewild, we believe financial aid is a critical means of assuring both the socio-economic and cultural diversity that benefits all of our families. Through our private school financial aid program, we strive to assist those families who would otherwise not be able to attend Applewild. Approximately thirty percent of our families receive some level of financial aid. In addition, we offer a variety of scholarship opportunities based on academic promise or achievement and demonstrated financial need. All families must re-apply each year for financial aid to confirm continued financial need.
We understand and appreciate the financial commitment families undertake in deciding to send their children to Applewild School. And although paying for education is first and foremost the responsibility of a family, we devote significant funds each year to a financial aid budget that helps assist families. In turn, our school community benefits by attracting gifted students that otherwise would not have been able to attend. To help us objectively assess what a family is able to contribute to its student(s) education expenses, we use School and Student Services (SSS By NAIS) as a trusted third party. The SSS analysis of a family's "Estimated Family Contribution (EFC)" is a critical component of our financial aid decision. However, it is just a start. To make our final financial aid award decisions, we use the SSS figures as the baseline for our own additional review, taking into consideration our total financial aid budget, other information we may have collected, our school’s policies and priorities, and the needs of our entire applicant pool.
Our current Financial Aid policy allows families with children in grades K through five to receive up to a maximum of 50% of tuition based on need. Families with children in grades six through nine are eligible to receive up to a maximum of 90% of need. All awards, however, are dependent on need as determined by the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) as well as on the availability of financial aid dollars. Because there are often more requests for financial aid than we can accommodate, first consideration is given to those families who submit applications by February 1st. After February 1st, awards are given on the availability of remaining financial aid dollars.
Applewild School has an AppleCore Scholarship aimed at admitting students of exceptional academic caliber, for more information visit our AppleCore Scholarship page. Families wishing to apply for financial aid should indicate their interest on the application form. Parents may submit an application online using the link below. A financial aid hard copy packet will only be mailed upon request.
Decisions regarding admission are made independently of financial aid decisions and do not affect a candidate’s eligibility for admission. All financial aid information is confidential.
