Imagine filming and editing your own movie, making a newspaper, learning Spanish, and creating a science
experiment – and then eating it – all in one summer!
Those are the kinds of adventures that await you at Applewild’s Academic Camp. This exciting component of our summer offerings provides fun learning options for a camp day that entertains, energizes, and educates! Qualified classroom teachers lead students in small class sizes to review and extend learning over the summer. Subject areas include reading, writing, math, science, technology, and world languages.
Studies show that students lose up to two months of grade-level equivalency over the summer. However, participating in summer academic programs allows students to maintain and strengthen academic proficiency, develop and explore interests and hobbies, and make valuable connections with new friends and caring adults. At Applewild, we strive to create a fun, memorable summer experience while helping children enjoy and excel in school!
