Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for your child. For your convenience Applewild School Health Office will provide health information and updates on an as needed basis.
Friendly Reminders to families:
-Breakfast: Children need breakfast, allow enough time in the morning for a healthy and satisfying breakfast.
-Sleep: Make sure your child gets enough sleep. Sleep will help your child achieve a healthy lifestyle and stay focused in the classroom.
-Clothing: Your child needs to be dressed appropriately for the winter weather. Hats, gloves, snowpants, and boots are necessary for outdoor play.
-Special Snacks: Any special snacks brought in from school must be peanut/nut free, and prepared in a nut free environment to avoid cross contamination. You must provide the ingredient label when sending snacks in with your child.
Applewild School Health Office policies:
* Notify the Health Office at ext. 108 when your child is absent and state the reason he/she is out. If no reason is given Applewild School will contact you.
* In order to keep contagious illness under control:
* If your child is sick and has a fever keep him/her home to prevent spread to others.
* Have your child wash his/her hands frequently with soap and water for twenty seconds.
* Cover nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing.
* Your child must be fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing agents) before he/she may return to school.
* Applewild School is a peanut/nut free campus. Please remember to check ALL ingredients and check for cross contamination of all foods brought in from home.
Communication is very important to us. Please notify school with any changes in telephone numbers and health/medical related conditions. Feel free to contact us at any time with issues or concerns that may affect your child's performance.
