The Parents Association mission is to assist the Applewild School in any way deemed advisable by the Head of School, in keeping with the policies established by the Applewild School Board of Trustees and in support of the school’s mission and values.
By having your child at Applewild School you are automatically a member of the Parents Association and we welcome you! The PA Executive Team is Christine Cline, President; Darleen Lessard & Jane Rish, Vice Presidents; Laurie Eck, Secretary; Maryellen Guerriero, Treasurer; and Dore Zornada, Volunteer Coordinator.
The Parents Association works with Applewild’s faculty, staff and administration in collaborative efforts to enrich the educational experience for our children. We are an organization that exists to promote the mission and vision of the school by supporting school activities, organizing PA sponsored fundraising events and creating an environment where parents can communicate and exchange ideas in a fun, social setting.
Our goals this year To provide opportunities for every family to participate in the Applewild community To provide ways for Applewild families to join together in support of their children’s school To raise funds for Applewild’s Wish List PA activities for 2012-2013 Genevieve's Fundraiser - September 17 through October 1 Harvest Fair – October 13 Rummage Sale – November 2, and November 3 Square 1 Art Fundraiser - December 3 Book Fair - February 11 through February 15 Teacher Appreciation Luncheon - May 7 Golf Tournament – May 13 The PA is proud to support the Development Office with Grandparents/Special Persons Day – May 10 The success of PA events depends on the kindness of our parent volunteers. Parents Association Monthly Meetings All meetings are held at 8:15 AM in the new dining hall or Laverack Room in Crocker Building.
