Applewild Alumnus Recognized by Fitchburg Art Museum
Applewild School sets the foundation for life-long learning. How do we know this to be true? Because our alumni come back year after year and tell us! Here, Applewild alumnus Anthony Mitchell ’14 is receiving recognition from Fitchburg Art Museum for his essay to name the new outdoor sculpture recently installed at the museum. Anthony’s essay was one of five finalists chosen from over 60 entries. His essay suggested naming the statue Fides, which is the Latin word meaning faith, promise and confidence. Anthony discover his love of Latin while a student at Applewild and has continued studying it at Middlesex School!
