Community Building – The Lower School
At Applewild, community building begins the moment your family steps on campus.
Family-style lunches, time for all-school singing, learning how to be a member of an Ultimate Frisbee team in first grade are all some of the ways we focus on community building. From the smaller circles of homeroom to the larger circles of the Appleseed Chorus, multi-grade recess to the larger Applewild community, we know students who feel they matter and supported are happier and successful. Here, students learn quickly that everyone at Applewild is here to provide assistance, give a laugh at a joke told at lunch, celebrate a loose tooth, or to give a hug over the loss of a beloved pet. This is how we build community. This is Applewild.
