Community Building Upper School
Community Building in our Upper School begins within the first two weeks of school.
How do we establish ties and begin community building in our Upper School? Students leave the campus behind to experience history and to learn about our environment and sustainability. While exploring Chewonki (Wiscasset, Maine), the Appalachian Mountain Club in the White Mountains, and Washington, DC. it's not just meaningful memories being created, these orientation trips are instrumental in establishing class bonds for the year ahead.
At Applewild, our Upper School consists of grades 6 - 8 which are commonly referred to as the Middle School years. During these years, students at Applewild can simultaneously explore budding interests in the Arts, Athletics and may discover new academic interests, while continuing to hone passions they first discovered in Lower School.
