Plein Air with Summer Storytime in the Garden
Nature, stories, and art all come together at Applewild’s Summer Storytime in the Garden
En plein air is simply French for “outside” but doesn’t en plein air painting sound like fun? This week for our Summer Storytime in the Garden we read “Little Cloud” by Eric Carle, watched the clouds float by, discovered what shapes we could see in the clouds above us, and made sounds of a summer thunderstorm. We observed new peppers growing in the garden and hiked to the soccer field. After snack, we created en plein air drawings of clouds and rainbows. Our Summer Storytime in the Garden is held every Wednesday morning at 10 AM and is open to the greater community. We will be meeting again on July 5th!
