New Look, New Language: An Exciting Time for Applewild!

With the approach of our 60th anniversary and the reflective nature of our work towards AISNE reaccreditation, we have had an incredible opportunity to think deeply about the past, present and future of our remarkable school. We’ve considered not only the enduring characteristics of an Applewild education, but also how we can best convey to the broader community what makes Applewild so special.

After several months of self-reflection, discussion, and consultation with marketing experts who listened closely to our parents and members of our community, Applewild is pleased to introduce a new look and new marketing language that embody who we are and what makes us unique. This new visual and verbal messaging is a way to celebrate and communicate our identity and to share our strengths with prospective families and community partners. The fresh graphic presentation and language we’ve developed give us the tools we need to go boldly into Applewild’s next 60 years.

Applewild’s Foundation of Strength: Formative. Individualized. Innovative.   

In our branding, we’ve focused on the strengths of the school that, going forward, will continue to position our students to succeed. These strengths are the pillars that uphold the work that we do, and we have expressed them in concise, positive words that capture both who we are essentially in our “soul” and also our continuing commitment to be a school that is relevant, forward-thinking, and meeting the needs of students in the decades to come. These pillars—formative, individualized, and innovative—are reflective of our Core Values and Core Competencies. You will soon see them on our website and in printed materials about the school, but you can see them in action every day in our classrooms and curricula!

Formative. Applewild nurtures the mind and character, fostering the development of skills and values that prepare students for future educational success and purposeful lives as engaged citizens.

Individualized. Within Applewild’s inclusive, student-centered community of learners, each individual’s unique strengths and potential are known, cherished, and cultivated.

Innovative. Rooted in the tradition of a liberal arts education, Applewild engages students in active, collaborative, and service learning experiences that reflect the best practices in teaching and learning today.

The Logo and Tagline

Our updated logo includes a clean, bold, and modern font that expresses our optimism for the future. The graphic element of the leaves conveys the sense of growing, which is so important to capture as a part of the Applewild experience. The three-word tagline, which connects symmetrically with the three leaves, provides powerful descriptors that evoke the pillars and a sense of upward growth. Though it will not be central to our marketing, our beloved tree icon and “A Belief in the Future” motto will stay with us as our official seal on diplomas and our most official documents, and will be used by our Alumni Office, which serves to bridge Applewild’s past, present, and future. We are excited about our new look and messaging, which powerfully showcase the best of Applewild!
