Open House at Applewild
Applewild School will host an Open House on Sunday, April 6 at noon. The event will include a campus tour and information on the Kindergarten through grade 8 program and the school’s commitment to helping families afford an Applewild education, plus the Child Development Center at Applewild, preschool and day care for ages 3 and 4. Applewild Summer Camp information will be available also.
The 26 acre campus in Fitchburg borders North County Land Trust property and Audubon trails. Students start their day at 8:00 am and end at 3:40 pm with plenty of time for special area teachers to present lessons in music, both instrumental and choral, science, foreign language, physical education, art, and woodworking. Currently, Applewild students come from 31 different communities in central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Bus transportation is available.
Tuition costs are always an important item for families when considering independent education. Applewild offers an innovative financial aid program which takes into consideration those in the middle income range, providing enhanced opportunities for aid. For students in grades 4 through 7, the AppleCore Scholarship is available to qualified students.
Preschool staff and summer camp staff will be available to answer questions on their programs.
For those unable to attend the Open House, Applewild offers a “Take A Look Morning” the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 am, including April 3. These morning events allow interested parents to see students and teachers in action.
Information on the Open House and all admission information may be found at www.applewild.org. Emily Bracchitta, director of admission and financial aid, can answer questions at 978-342-6053×110.
