Welcome to the Parents Association!

The Parents Association mission is to assist the Applewild School in any way deemed advisable by the Head of School, in keeping with the policies established by the Applewild School Board of Trustees and in support of the school’s mission and values.

By having your child at Applewild School you are automatically a member of the Parents Association, and we welcome you!

The Parents Association works with Applewild’s faculty, staff and administration in collaborative efforts to enrich the educational experience for our children.  We are an organization that exists to promote the mission and vision of the school by supporting school activities, organizing PA sponsored fundraising events and creating an environment where parents can communicate and exchange ideas in a fun, social setting.

We want and welcome your involvement in the community.  It takes a village to make the events successful, not to mention that many hands make light work.

Room Parents  - Room Parents communicate important information to families. They coordinate volunteers for PA events and organize class parties. There are two Room Parents per classroom for Kindergarten through Grade 5 and one Room Parent per class advisor for Grades 6 through 8.

Rummage Sale - Applewild families, faculty and staff donate new adn used items to be sold at this event. The greater Fitchburg community looks forward to this event and many needy families are able to purchase clothing, outerwear, shoes, and housewares at affordable prices. Volunteers are needed to accept and arrange donations, organize items and cash out patrons.

Teach Appreciation Luncheon - The Parents Association hosts a "surprise" lunch during Teacher Appreciation Week. Parents send in lunch items, assist with set up and clean up and also provide student supervision in the dining room so teachers have a day off from lunch duty.
